Jenny holds numerous academic and performance awards from KU's Honors Program, the
Kansas City Musical Club, the Hall Family Foundation, and the Arts Council of
Johnson County. She has recently joined the cello section of the St. Joseph
Symphony as assistant principal. Since returning to the Kansas City area, she has built a thriving private studio with cello students of all ages. Jenny also pursues an active freelance performing career, which includes performing with local professional orchestras. Jenny enjoys water skiing, cooking, scuba diving, running, and watching KU basketball. |
Jenny was raised in the Kansas City area and began her cello studies at the age of
9. |
She has studied with Peter Sukonik, Edward Laut, and Laurien Laufman. Jenny
holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music
from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she served as the Graduate
Cello Teaching Assistant. |
She enjoys participating in local races for charities along with her trio colleagues
and husband. She and her husband Nathan live in Overland Park with their
adorable yellow lab, Chloe. |
